Half Life is a science fiction first-person shooter video game series developed by Valve Software. This project for the beloved gaming series turned into an international sensation after www.kotaku.com and www.planethalflife.com featured the song.

Overgrowth: Wolfire Games

Overgrowth is a 3d action-adventure game for Mac, Windows, and Linux, coming soon from the independent game studio, Wolfire Games. It is the spiritual successor to Lugaru. Wolfire has been highly touted for it’s active fan base and ability to build pre-release excitement through social media.

Jonathan’s assignment was to write and record a promotional song highlighting the game’s characters and themes through humor.

Human Error: “This is Larson” Song

“This is Larson” is a song written for the Half Life 2 video game mod Human Error. Au-heppa, the lead game developer, created the video and Phillip Marlowe, the in-game voice talent for the character Larson, sang the part. After discussing the vision of the game and song with Au-heppa, I knew I couldn’t resist the chance to explore the dark side of Half Life and write a song from the point-of-view of the Civil Protection, the human police force that the Half Life aliens use to help subjugate humanity. The song was used for this promotional video and the game credits.
