Hidden Camera: Cops Play Wii During Drug Bust
I’m sorry, but is that the best they could do? I don’t mean to brag, but I could totally take these trained law enforcement officers in a little Wii bowling.
“With guns drawn and flashlights cutting through darkened rooms, Polk County undercover drug investigators stormed the home of convicted drug dealer Michael Difalco near Lakeland in March. As investigators searched the home for drugs, some drug task force members found other ways to occupy their time. Within 20 minutes of entering Difalco’s house, some of the investigators found a Wii video bowling game and began bowling frame after frame.”

The Meg Ryan Song Music Video
I first discovered my celebrity crush (CC) in high school. I don’t know if it was the blonde hair, quirky style or happy endings, but by the time “Over the Rainbow” started playing and Tom Hanks’ dog runs up to meet Meg Ryan in the park, I knew it was meant to be (You’ve Got Mail).
For more info on my CC song visit my Behind the Music post here.
It took me one day to write The Meg Ryan Song and about 1 day to record. The music video, on the other hand, took me a little longer.
It’s definitely one of my simpler recordings, but I like it that way. It uses a slow build with minimal instruments. If you don’t count anything twice, I use roughly 17 Meg Ryan movie titles or references during the song.
I hope you enjoy the song as much as I’ve enjoyed my CC. Don’t forget to click the comment link below and let me know what you think!
Oh, and if you like the song consider picking it up on iTunes.
Supercharged Lawn Mower
It’s always the normal, blue collar salt of the earth kind of people that get hurt by these monstrous contraptions. When will we stop endangering people’s lives and put an end to this madness?
Obama Knows What It’s Like
It looks like Kanye West’s outburst for Beyonce at the MTV Video Music Awards has already been parodied. Pretty funny.

Fell From Heaven EP Release
The day an EP or album releases is a strange thing. You’ve spent countless hours scribbling lyrics, writing music, finally settling on a completed song then going through days and days of recording the tracks. You then edit and mix the music and go through the dry but necessary step of actually getting it online and distributed. And that doesn’t count the additional hours Ashlee Powers put into the fantastic album art you see today.
All of that work, creativity and anticipation culminate in today’s release. It feels almost like a cross between a sigh of relief and a belly full of butterfly’s.
Either way Fell From Heaven marks a simpler approach to my music than I’ve taken before. Not that I sacrificed any quality for the sake of simple, but I tried to worry less about force fitting a song into something it’s not and just let it be what it is.
Each track definitely has it’s own unique story going from inspiration to creation and production. I’ll be posting Behind the Music entries for each track over the next couple of weeks.
Take a moment. Enjoy the music. Pick it up on iTunes or my new online store. Then tell a friend. Remember you’re the only publicity I’ve got:)
Enjoy,
Jonathan

I stumbled over this while looking at cracked.com. Cynical? Probably. Hilarious? Yep.
Death Ray From Space
I thought this was pretty hilarious.

Visual Effects: 100 Years of Inspiration
This is an interesting look at visual effects in movies over the past century. Pretty cool stuff. My favorite is the scene showing the Egyptians getting swallowed up in the red sea. That had to be tough to do back then.
